I have created exceptional relationships with owners, developers, private equity firms, sovereign wealth funds, REITs, brands and management firms, law firms, investment banks, brokers, commercial banks, consultants, and accountants.

Built from the ground up a real estate advisory practice. Recognized for fostering an inclusive culture focusing on innovation, teamwork, and exceptional client service.

Formed, developed, and retained multicultural and diverse teams. Acknowledged for attracting, recruiting, and motivating leaders. Mentored and retained a core group of professionals for more than 15 years, including three who advanced to partner/principal. Developed the skills of an offshore team of 20 to be interchangeable with a U.S.-based team. Helped to advance women and LGBTQ+ issues.

Assisted a gaming company with a strategic analysis that led to the formation of a REIT.

Spearheaded a roll-up strategy that enabled a family office to consolidate a 40 property portfolio.

Collaborated with an international investor to assist with acquiring a regional homebuilder.

Jason has been on the board since May 2018. He was the Board Chair from November 2019-November 2021 and now serves as Board Chair Emeritus. He was a media executive with 30 years of experience in all aspects of content development, production and management. From 2008 to 2020, he was the vice president of news at KTLA-TV.

In 2020, he and his husband, Troy, relocated to Coachella Valley where they own and operate Old Ranch Inn in Palm Springs and Jolene’s Bar & Lounge in Palm Desert.

He has worked with UNICEF to generate donations and highlight the humanitarian organization’s work in Kenya, Guatemala and Vietnam. In 2019, Jason participated in the AIDS/LifeCycle, a bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to benefit the Los Angeles LGBT Center and San Francisco AIDS Foundation.

Jason and Troy have been together since 1996 and were married in 2008. In 2020, they rescued a German Shepherd named Klaus.
